What is Soft Tissue Therapy?

“Soft Tissue Therapy is the manipulation, management and rehabilitation of soft tissues of the body - i.e. muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and joints - to enhance a person’s health and well being.”

It is an umbrella term for a wide spread of hands-on techniques, applied to various musculoskeletal issues. It is a multi-disciplinary approach, enabling you to live a fit, active and healthy lifestyle.

This hands-on approach aims to not only alleviate pain but, reduce tense muscles and increase your range of motion at a joint. Although this is form of therapy can be beneficial for chronic pain and injuries, it can also really help to prevent injury and maintain an active and healthy lifestyle.

During treatment, a soft tissue therapist will assess you, perform treatment through applying various advanced soft tissue techniques. This will be carefully thought and tailored towards you, allowing you to gain maximum benefit from this form of therapy. Additionally, prescribed exercises can be issued to further improve or maintain your lifestyle in aid of your rehabilitation process.
